PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No 2 AFS Tezpur was established in 1978. Kendriya Vidyalaya No 2 is a Co-Ed school affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It is managed by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.

It is one of the prestigious educational institutions of Tezpur, Assam. This center of excellence which was first established as a defense sector school affiliated to CBSE. It is situated 15 Km North of Tezpur town. This Vidyalaya has the strength of more than 1600 students & 63 staffs on rolls. It is a four section school with all the three streams Science, Commerce & Humanities (one section each). It has moulded many Teachers, Scientists, Technologist, Doctors, Engineers, Businessman & Administrators who occupy enviable positions in various walks of life.
